However, for this election, I think it's important that we do whatever we can to make the process as democratic as we can, and that means we should worry about the small stuff, like the superdelegates, just as much as the big stuff, like the electoral system.</description>

		<description>We need to have true democracy in the national election before we worry about technicalities in the primaries.  as it stands, there are 5 states in the midwest with less than half the population of New York, but the same number of electoral votes.

"Superdelegates" are all government officials from the Democratic party.  most, if not all, of them were elected by their various constituents.  they are the true original idea of "delegates" - people whom the people trust to make decisions for them.

also, even the regular delegates are not required to vote for the candidate they pledged for in the first place.</description>
